Residential Experiences 2024

This year we introduced a 1-night sleepover in school for Year 3.

The children remained at school on Thursday afternoon and took part in a range of activities, which included swimming, games on the field, Friday lunch preparation and setting up their sleeping areas.  This was followed by chippy tea and a movie!  The children settled and slept extremely well and were up bright and early for breakfast on Friday!  Well done Year 3!

The Year 4 Lihou experience returns!

Year 4 went off to Lihou this year to experience a range of activities which included, archery, team games, preparing their own meals and swimming in the venus pool!  The weather was absolutely stunning and many of the meals were eaten outside!

Year 5 finally get to go to France again!

Year 5 finally got to return to France (post Covid) and had an amazing time!  From sleeping in dormitories with friends, visiting the goat cheese farm, taking in the wonders at the St Malo Aquarium, participating in team challenges, visiting Mont St Michel, flying down the zipwire, to tasting snails and much, much more!

The grande finale!  Year 6 Camp!

Year 6 Camp is such an amazing adventure and is always one of the best memories the children share at Leaver's Evening.

The whole week is focused on independence.  The children are taught to put up their tents step-by-step, they are responsible for their own living space, they use camp stoves to cook during the Ready Steady Cook Challenge and fry-up brunch, they surf, sail, battle in a Nerf war, climb, swim and cycle!  This year we introduced Iris and Dora as a wet-weather alternative and it went down a storm! We also managed to set up the TV for the England game!  We think the children's favourite activity is the water fight (which they don't see coming!) because they get to absolutely soak all the staff!
