Wider Curriculum

At Forest we believe it is important to give the children access to a wider range of experiences in addition to the taught curriculum.

We offer the following opportunities:

We strongly believe in the value of residential experiences and what these bring to pupils' learning. We currently offer three trips:

  • Year 6 camp (4 nights in Guernsey)
  • Year 5 visit Chateau Beaumont (4 nights in France)
  • Year 4 stay on Lihou Island (2 nights in Lihou)

Throughout the year, the school offers a variety of extra-curricular activities at lunchtime and after school. These will vary from term to term. A letter will be sent home outlining activities on offer, some of these activities are as follows:

  • Netball
  • Football
  • Tag Rugby
  • Athletics
  • Yoga
  • Art
  • Coding
  • Read and Relax
  • Chill and Chat
  • Fit Club (Sports Commission)
  • Choir

We also endeavour to provide visits and experiences for the children during their lesson time, such things include:

  • Sailing
  • Visits to the museum
  • Guille-Alles Library
  • Accidental Zoo
  • Ice-skating
  • Beach visits
  • Church visit/Local places of worship
